Life Journey

A life journey is when you take responsibility

Not that long ago I was like everyone else.

I had a simple job.

I got paid some money.

But I was empty.

I didn't like my job, it was boring and there was no challenge at all.

I always seemed to lack money and I wanted stuff that probably I didn't need.

I had troubles all around and was mostly depressed because I didn't really understand how I got there.

Now here is a confession. I was unhappy because I made all my choices based in what everyone said.

I admired the true free souls, those amazing guys that were traveling the world and crafting a fate of their own.

I even wished I could join them, but I made nothing.

I didn't try anything new, I was just sitting in my cubicle joking with my coworkers and dreaming of a better life.

I made a stop last year.

I saw how my life sucked so much and worked hard to change what was happening.

I took responsibility of my actions and I forgave myself for being foolish.

Then I started to change one habit at a time.

Am I perfect now?

Not at all, but I’m a lot happier than the last year.

A life journey starts when you truly take your life in your hands.

It starts when you accept that most if not all of your problems are the result of what you have been doing.

It really starts when you do something to improve yourself.

Enjoy a Beautiful Sunset and Sunrise

How often have you seen stunning sunrises and sunsets and stopped to thank God for the beauty of His creation?

I was reminded yesterday and this morning of the opportunity to enjoy beauty while traveling to and from work.

I wished I had a camera out to take a picture so I could savor it some more.

I only have a memory that does not do justice to what God has done.

This led me to wonder how often we truly remember and are thankful for the miracles in our lives: the earth and its beauty, our family, and how truly blessed we are, considering the devastation in the world that we are sheltered from by the grace of God.

On a different line of thought we can apply this positive outlook to something that

might not be the scenario we were looking for and turn it into a beautiful

opportunity to grow.

Please take time to enjoy today.

Be expecting to see good things everyday He gives you on this beautiful earth.

God loves you so much!

Take time to sit with Him and tell Him how much you appreciate everything He does

for you every day.

My Music

Music closely linked to memory and emotion.

Music is sometimes called the "language of the emotions."

By listening to music, you develop expectations about what will happen next in the music you are listening to , even if you have never heard it before.

The idea is that emotion is produced when the music violates your expectations.

This can cause surprise, frustration, amusement, wonder, excitement, sadness - a wide range of emotions.

Humans enjoy music because it sounds good and humans crave pleasure and it helps with tough times.

Music can be a sense of comfort.

Every song has a message in the words.

Some music is encouraging and helps with a certain problem.

For example, Born This Way by Lady Gaga is about how it doesn't matter your race,

disabilities, or if you like the same gender you're beautiful in your own way.

Most music is pointless, but people just like to either sing, dance or enjoy the beat if not the words.

Music is pretty awesome to me.

Any type of music can have songs that has really good lyrics that can tell about truth and ideal.

Smile Everyday ^.^

Keep Smiling because a smile is a symbol of happiness.

Keep Smiling because the smile will come to make other people happy.

Keep Smiling because the smile will be able to change you and others.

Smiling is an act of the easiest, simplest, least expensive and most enjoyable in the
world.

Smiling is not only a way to share your happiness with others, but it is also good for your health and love life....

Smiling Makes You Happy
Try feeling sad and smiling at the same time. It simply doesn't work. Smiling can trick the body into
helping you change your mood.

Smiling Releases Stress
Stress can really show up in our faces. When you are stressed, take time to put on a smile. You'll be surprised how difficult it is to continue feeling stressed while smiling and looking happy.

Smiling Makes You Look Younger
The muscles we use to smile lift the face, making a person appear younger.

Smiling is a Natural Drug
Studies have shown that smiling releases endorphin natural pain killers, and serotonin, helping to keep us sane and in a good mood.

Appreciate Life

Appreciate that life is made up of moments.

We tend to think of life as the passage of days, weeks, years and decades.

But, in essence, life is made up of moments.

As you reflect on your day, what moments stand out for you?

Is it the stress of trying to do it all?

Is it the stuff that didn't get done?

Is it the disappointment in yourself for what you forgot to do or failed to do, or a gloomy feeling
about how far you are from the top?

Each day, pay attention to at least one or two moments that worked out well for you.

Don’t shrug your shoulders and conclude that “it was just a crappy day. Nothing worked out for me.”

Even a bad experience has a valuable moment wrapped up inside of it, if only you‘re willing to dig deeper to discover it.

Pay attention to what you have done.

The constant barrage to “DO more,” “GET more,” and “BE more” negates what you have done, what you have and who you are.

It makes you feel deprived.

In this competitive world of ours, we often need to remind ourselves of what we have accomplished.

And always, always, we need to remind ourselves to be our best friend.

They are what we will remember and appreciate when we reflect on days gone by.

A little thing may be a fun evening with friends.

It may be the joy of learning something new.

It may be listening to the giggles of your kids.

It may be the warm feeling you get when you've done a simple kindness for a friend or a stranger.

It may be noticing nature bloom and blossom.
